The Story of Promise

Days back, I made a promise to my cousin that I will meet him this week. But due to some forgetting symptoms going inside my Central Processing Unit "Brain" I wasn't able. I forgot. Later, I felt something going in my mind. I made a call to him told him my side of the story and apologized.

This small element "PROMISE" made me write.

As human-beings we tend to forget the commitments, promises and assurances we make to people.

As I was going through the Book of Exodus today, the commitment and promise that God made to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob has made my day for sure.

When the Israelites were oppressed by the new Pharaoh and the Egyptians (Exodus 1:11-14),  they were in terrible agony and pain. They were made slaves, subjected to a life of bondage. Their life was miserable.

God remembered his promise (Psalm 105:42) and was concerned for the Israelites. (The Lord said, "I have indeed seen the misery of my people in Egypt...So I have come down to rescue them from the hands of the Egyptians...) Exodus 3:7,8

God made his plan for rescuing his people and also made a better future plan for his people(Exodus 3:8).

Writing from personal experience, Jesus has delivered and rescued me from sin and death. That same Jesus is at work today, setting prisoners free, breaking bondages and giving fresh start to sinners like me! Jesus said," I am the Way, the Truth and Life..." "You will know the truth and the truth will set you free." John 14:6, John 8:32

Just by keeping faith in the Lord Jesus, you can be sure of deliverance from any bondage. God loves us and wants all of us to be delivered from the greatest enemy of humankind "death" and therefore he sent his son to save those who believe in him. And give them forgiveness from their sins and ever-lasting life. (John 3:16) Thank you Lord! You keep your promises!
